About PETG-CF Filament
PETG-CF is a base plastic filled with chopped carbon fiber. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than the unfilled material, but they are abrasive: every carbon fiber filament needs a hardened steel or other wear resistant nozzle. Read the carbon fiber filament guide →
About the base material: PETG (glycol-modified PET) sits between PLA and ABS. It is tougher and more temperature- and chemical-resistant than PLA while still printing without an enclosure, which makes it a common choice for functional parts, brackets, and containers that need some durability. It is a little stringier to dial in than PLA and prints best from a dry spool.
