Product Details
- High Strength & Rigidity for Demanding Applications: Enhanced with carbon fiber, ABS-CF significantly improved rigidity compared with standard ABS. It helps printed parts maintain their shape under stress, making it an excellent choice for functional parts and mechanical components.
- Improved Dimensional Stability, Reduced Warping: ABS-CF offers lower warping and improved dimensional control than standard ABS. This means fewer failed prints, less waste, and more reliable results when printing large, complex geometries.
- Enhanced Heat Resistance: ABS-CF maintains reliable mechanical performance under heat with a heat deflection temperature of up to 99°C, helping functional parts retain strength and stability in elevated-temperature environments.
- Subtle Semi-Matte Finish: Carbon fiber gives ABS-CF a refined matte surface with a subtle sheen, softening layer lines naturally and delivering a professional look straight from the printer with less post-processing required.
- Easy to Post-Process: Unlike many fiber-reinforced materials, ABS-CF remains machinable after printing, allowing you to refine and customize finished parts with greater flexibility.

Printing ELEGOO ABS-CF
ELEGOO ABS-CF in Black is ABS filled with chopped carbon fiber, and this listing is a 1kg spool. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain ABS, but they are abrasive, so a hardened nozzle is mandatory (see nozzle compatibility below). Few makers publish separate ABS-CF settings, so the ranges below are for plain ABS; expect to print toward the top of them. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.
Ranges checked against Bambu Lab, Prusa and Polymaker data. Heat resistance is the heat deflection temperature (HDT). Read our ABS & ASA filament guide for bed adhesion, drying, troubleshooting, and material-specific tips.
Nozzle Compatibility
Carbon fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.
Based on Bambu Lab and Prusa guidance. More in our carbon fiber filament guide and nozzle types guide.
