Product Details

  • Printing Parameters and Preparation: Nozzle temp: 245-280C, Bed temp: 80100C, Print speed: Under 200 mm/s. Use a hardened steel nozzle (0.6 mm recommended, but 0.4 mm works too) as regular brass won't cut it. For best results, dry the filament at 65C for 8 hours before printing. Keep it stored in a sealed container with desiccant and humidity under 20% RH
  • Top-Tier Heat and Chemical Resistance: With a heat deflection temperature of 100C, this ABS-GF outperforms standard ABS and ABS-CF. The filament is built to handle extreme temps and harsh chemicals without losing strength or shape, suitable for demanding industrial use
  • Stiffer and Stronger Layer Bond: The glass fiber reinforcement boosts flex resistance to 3300 MPa, way above regular ABS. Better layer adhesion means ABS-GF can take twice the load and bending, suitable for functional mechanical parts and load-bearing brackets
  • Lightweight but Tough Construction: This black ABS-GF blend delivers excellent strength-to-weight balance. The 3D printer filament is light enough for drones, mechanical components, and sports gear without adding unnecessary weight
  • Wide Compatibility with FDM Printers: Works with most FDM 3D printers out there. Beginner-friendly but still delivers professional-level results
  • Glass Fiber Reinforced Material: Contains 10% glass fiber reinforcement that enhances mechanical properties and dimensional stability compared to standard ABS filament for superior print quality and durability

Printing CHCKX ABS-GF

CHCKX ABS-GF in Black is ABS filled with chopped glass fiber, and this listing is a 1kg spool. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain ABS, but they are abrasive, so a hardened nozzle is mandatory (see nozzle compatibility below). The ranges below are for ABS-GF, which usually prints a little hotter than plain ABS. ABS-GF is best suited to stiff, heat-resistant parts with less warping than plain ABS. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.

Ranges checked against Bambu Lab data. Heat resistance is the heat deflection temperature (HDT). Read our glass fiber filament guide for bed adhesion, drying, troubleshooting, and material-specific tips.

Nozzle Compatibility

Glass fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.

Nozzle type
Hardened steel
0.2 mm
Cannot use
Fibers clog it.
0.4 mm
Can use
Standard only, not high flow.
0.6 mm
Can use
Fewer clogs and less wear.
0.8 mm
Can use
Large, fast parts.
