Product Details
- 【Big Roll PA12-CF Filament】SUNLU PA6-CF filaments launch 3KG large spool filaments, reducing the need for frequent replacement of filaments, improving production efficiency while reducing cost-effectiveness.
- 【Filament Spool Diameter】PA12-CF 1KG Spool Diameter: 203.2mm, Spool Width: 63.5mm, Spool Hub Hole Diameter: 55.88mm. 3KG Spool Diameter: 240mm, Spool Width: 111.1mm, Spool Hub Hole Diameter: 87.5mm.
- 【Heat-Resistant Spool for Easy Drying】- This PA12-CF filament, made from 80% nylon and 20% carbon fibers, comes on a special heat-resistant spool. You can dry the entire spool at up to 230°F (110°C) before printing, ensuring optimal material performance and simplifying your workflow.
- 【Superior Oil, Fuel & Chemical Resistance】- Resistant to grease, gasoline, and common solvents, PA12-CF is ideal for parts exposed to harsh chemicals. It’s perfect for automotive components like fuel caps, fluid reservoirs, or durable handles for workshop tools.
- 【Engineered for Extreme Wear Resistance】- Carbon fibers create a smooth, low-friction surface that significantly outlasts standard PETG or ABS in high-wear applications. This makes it the top choice for durable moving parts like gears, bearings, bushings, and sliding mechanisms.
- 【High-Temperature Resistance (Up to 347°F/175°C)】- With a heat deflection temperature of 347°F (175°C), printed parts maintain their shape and strength in demanding environments. Ideal for under-hood automotive components, outdoor equipment, and tools exposed to sustained heat.
- 【High Strength with Low Density】- Carbon fiber reinforcement provides metal-like strength at a fraction of the weight (density: 1.04 g/cm³). Perfect for applications where strength-to-weight ratio is critical, such as drone frames, automotive parts, and high-performance sports gear.
- 【 Low Moisture Absorption】- PA12 nylon has the lowest water absorption rate among nylons. Prints remain dimensionally stable and strong in humid or wet conditions, without the swelling or warping common in other filaments.
- 【Recommended Print Settings】- For best results, use a nozzle temperature of 500-536°F (260-280°C) and a heated bed at 122-158°F (50-70°C). Recommended print speeds are between 60-150 mm/s.

Printing SUNLU Nylon-CF
SUNLU Nylon-CF in Black is Nylon filled with chopped carbon fiber, and this listing is a 2.7kg spool. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain Nylon, but they are abrasive, so a hardened nozzle is mandatory (see nozzle compatibility below). The ranges below are for Nylon-CF, which usually prints a little hotter than plain Nylon. Nylon-CF is best suited to strong, stiff engineering parts that must also tolerate heat. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.
Ranges checked against Bambu Lab, Polymaker and Prusament data. Heat resistance is the heat deflection temperature (HDT). Read our carbon fiber filament guide for bed adhesion, drying, troubleshooting, and material-specific tips.
Nozzle Compatibility
Carbon fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.
Based on Bambu Lab and Prusa guidance. More in our carbon fiber filament guide and nozzle types guide.
