Product Details

  • 8% Carbon Fiber Reinforced ASA: Fiberon ASA-CF08 combines ASA with 8 wt% carbon fiber to increase rigidity and dimensional stability while maintaining the UV and weather resistance associated with ASA. Designed for outdoor housings, fixtures, brackets, tooling, and functional prototypes.
  • Mechanical and Heat Performance: Typical TDS values include 43.5 MPa X-Y tensile strength, 69.1 MPa X-Y bending strength, and a 3.61 GPa X-Y Young’s modulus. Heat deflection temperature reaches 103°C at 0.45 MPa. Final performance varies with part design and printing conditions.
  • For Outdoor and UV-Exposed Parts: ASA provides resistance to UV exposure and changing weather conditions, while carbon fiber creates a rigid, matte surface. Suitable for exterior housings, automotive prototypes, agricultural equipment, brackets, and other functional components.
  • Rigid Filament - Handle with Care: The unprinted filament may snap if bent tightly. Maintain a bending diameter above 60 mm, avoid sharp turns, and keep the feed path smooth and direct. Store and print below 20% relative humidity; dry at 90°C for 6 hours if the material has absorbed moisture.
  • Printing Requirements: Use a wear-resistant nozzle, 260–280°C nozzle temperature, 90–100°C build plate, and keep the cooling fan off. An enclosed printer is recommended to reduce rapid cooling and cracking. Print in a well-ventilated area, and allow parts to cool naturally before removal.

Printing Polymaker ASA-CF

Polymaker ASA-CF in Black runs on the standard ASA-CF profile below, and this listing is a 0.50kg spool. ASA-CF is best suited to UV-stable outdoor parts that need to survive sun and weather without yellowing. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.
