Product Details

  • 【Stiff & Strong & Heat Resistant】 - SUNLU PA6-CF nylon filament 1.75mm is made of 80% PA and 20% Carbon Fibers. The carbon fiber reinforcement really provides significantly improved stiffness, strength and heat resistance with outstanding layer adhesion.
  • 【Good for Industrial Engineering Printing】 - SUNLU PA6 CF is very strong, durable and features an excellent heat resistance, the models printed with Carbon Fiber Nylon Filament can be used in many industrial fields. It can be used in applications requiring torsional, tensile, and impact strength. Such as gears, screws, helmets, fan blades, toy car chassis, skateboard parts, bicycle frames, etc.
  • 【Heat-Resistant】- PA6 Filament withstands up to 209°C, much higher than Easy PA, PC, ASA and other 3D printing filaments. It can be applied to parts that need to withstand high temperatures, such as automobile exhaust pipes, motor covers, pot handles, the bottom of the kettle, etc.
  • 【Not Compatible with AMS】- PA6-CF is too brittle and prone to breaking inside the printer. Not recommended for use with AMS, AMS Lite, or other multi-color systems.
  • 【Printing Setting】 - Nozzle: 270-290℃; Bed Temperature: 50-70℃; Speed: 50mm/s – 150mm/s; Annealing: 80℃~130℃ 5-12h (To ensure a good heat resistance of your printed part it is recommended to anneal your print model); Bed Surface: almost any surface with a thin coat of PVA glue or Magigoo PA.
  • 【Printing Tips】 - ①Drying is required before printing. Recommended drying conditions are: 80°C for 24 hours or 110°C for 4 hours. ②Printing PA6-CF with copper spray is susceptible to abrasion, and we recommend using abrasion-resistant nozzles such as those made of hardened steel.
  • 【Strong Compatibility】- Spool Diameter: 203.2mm(8inches), Spool Width: 63.5mm(2.5inches), Spool Hub Hole Diameter: 55.88mm(2.20inches). Compatible with most printers, such as Bambulab H2D, X1 series, etc.
  • 【1.75mm Diameter】- Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03mm. SUNLU filament has wide compatibility due to the small diameter error, it's suitable for most 1.75mm FDM 3D printers.
  • 【Vacuum Packed】-SUNLU 3D printer filaments are all vacuum sealed and come with a desiccant pack. Vacuum packing, dustproof and protect the filament dry, avoid absorbing moisture during transportation. Guaranteed to deliver the best printing effect of the filament to the hands of customers.

Printing SUNLU Nylon-CF

SUNLU Nylon-CF in Black is Nylon filled with chopped carbon fiber, and this listing is a 1kg spool. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain Nylon, but they are abrasive, so a hardened nozzle is mandatory (see nozzle compatibility below). The ranges below are for Nylon-CF, which usually prints a little hotter than plain Nylon. Nylon-CF is best suited to strong, stiff engineering parts that must also tolerate heat. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.

Ranges checked against Bambu Lab, Polymaker and Prusament data. Heat resistance is the heat deflection temperature (HDT). Read our carbon fiber filament guide for bed adhesion, drying, troubleshooting, and material-specific tips.

Nozzle Compatibility

Carbon fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.

Nozzle type
Hardened steel
0.2 mm
Cannot use
Fibers clog it.
0.4 mm

Standard only, not high flow.
0.6 mm
Can use
Fewer clogs and less wear.
0.8 mm
