Product Details
- Carbon Fiber Reinforced PPS: Fiberon PPS-CF10 is a 1.75 mm carbon fiber reinforced PPS filament engineered for high heat resistance, chemical resistance, rigidity, and dimensional stability. Suitable for high-temperature prototypes, tooling, fixtures, electronics components, and industrial functional parts.
- High Heat Resistance: After annealing at 125°C for 16 hours, PPS-CF10 has a typical heat deflection temperature of 252.5°C at 0.45 MPa under the test conditions specified in the product TDS. Actual part performance may vary with part design, printing parameters, annealing conditions, and operating environment.
- Low Moisture Absorption: PPS-CF10 has an equilibrium moisture absorption of approximately 0.225% at 23°C and 70% relative humidity. For consistent extrusion and surface quality, dry at 100°C for 10 hours before printing and keep the filament below 20% relative humidity during storage and use.
- Direct Filament Path Recommended: As a short-carbon-fiber reinforced engineering filament, PPS-CF10 is stiff before printing. Sharp bends, tightly curved PTFE tubes, or multiple feeder turns can place excessive stress on the filament. Use a smooth, low-resistance, and direct path from the dry box to the extruder. Proper printing conditions produce rigid, dimensionally stable functional parts.
- High-Temperature Printing Requirements: Print at 310–350°C using a printer and all-metal hotend rated by the manufacturer for continuous operation at the selected temperature. Use a hardened steel, ruby, or other wear-resistant nozzle, set the bed to 80–90°C, and keep the cooling fan off. Reduce printing speed if layer adhesion is insufficient. To achieve the properties reported in the product TDS, anneal at 125°C for 16 hours.
