We track 1 PCTG-CF filament listings from 1 brand, with prices checked every 4 hours and normalized to a true cost per kilogram. Below is every listing, sorted by price per kg.
PCTG-CF is a base plastic filled with chopped carbon fiber. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than the unfilled material, but they are abrasive: every carbon fiber filament needs a hardened steel or other wear resistant nozzle. Read the carbon fiber filament guide →
About the base material: PCTG is a glycol-modified copolyester often described as a step up from PETG: better impact resistance, clearer parts, and stronger chemical resistance, while printing at similar or slightly higher temperatures than PETG and without a heated chamber. It also absorbs less moisture than PETG, which makes it more forgiving to store. The tradeoff is availability: fewer brands carry it than PETG, usually at a premium.
Best for tough, clear functional parts that need more impact resistance than PETG.
Based on Bambu Lab and Prusa guidance. See the nozzle types guide for brass vs hardened steel.
