Product Details
- 30% carbon fiber PPA: A polyphthalamide composite for rigid functional prints. Material flexural modulus is 12,136 MPa and flexural strength 208 MPa; printed-part strength also depends on orientation, walls and processing.
- Heat-focused material: Manufacturer lists heat resistance up to 180°C (ISO 75-2) and HDT 176°C. These material figures are not continuous-use ratings for every printed part; assess load, temperature and print conditions for your design.
- Low moisture uptake: Listed water absorption below 0.7% supports dimensional stability. PPA-CF30 remains moisture sensitive: dry before printing and keep the spool sealed in dry storage between builds.
- For functional prototypes: Matte black filament for jigs, fixtures, brackets, adapters and engineering models. Supplied as a 500 g spool of 1.75 mm filament; test clearances and loading before using a part in service.
- Printer setup: Abrasive fibers require a hardened steel or suitable wear-resistant nozzle. Suggested nozzle 270–300°C, bed 80–90°C, speed 120–150 mm/s; treat these as starting settings and tune to machine, flow and layer bonding.

Nozzle Compatibility
Carbon fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.
