Product Details
- 【Printing Tips】 Nozzle Temperature: 260–280°C; Build Plate Temperature: 90–100°C; Print Speed: <200 mm/s. Dry at 65°C for 8 hours before use. Keep filament humidity below 20% RH in a sealed container with desiccant. Use a wear-resistant hardened steel nozzle (0.6 mm recommended; minimum 0.4 mm). An enclosed printer and proper ventilation are recommended. Wear protective equipment when cutting, sanding, or machining printed parts, as carbon fiber dust may be generated.
- 【Carbon Fiber Reinforced Strength】 Made with approximately 5% specially processed short carbon fibers, FOXTRUDER ASA-CF offers enhanced stiffness and strength compared with standard ASA, making it suitable for rigid brackets, structural components, and functional parts.
- 【UV & Weather Resistance】 Built on a weather-resistant ASA base, FOXTRUDER ASA-CF is designed for outdoor applications, offering resistance to UV exposure, moisture, and weathering. Ideal for garden accessories, outdoor fixtures, and automotive exterior components.
- 【Enhanced Dimensional Stability】 Carbon fiber reinforcement helps reduce warping and shrinkage, improving dimensional stability and helping printed parts maintain their shape during use.
- 【Versatile Functional Applications】 Suitable for enclosed FDM 3D printers equipped with hardened steel nozzles, FOXTRUDER ASA-CF is ideal for automotive accessories, equipment housings, outdoor components, and engineering prototypes. For best results, maintain stable printing conditions and ensure adequate ventilation.

Printing FOXTRUDER ASA-CF
FOXTRUDER ASA-CF in Black is ASA filled with chopped carbon fiber, and this listing is a 1kg spool. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain ASA, but they are abrasive, so a hardened nozzle is mandatory (see nozzle compatibility below). Few makers publish separate ASA-CF settings, so the ranges below are for plain ASA; expect to print toward the top of them. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.
Ranges checked against Bambu Lab, Prusament and Polymaker data. Heat resistance is the heat deflection temperature (HDT). Read our ABS & ASA filament guide for bed adhesion, drying, troubleshooting, and material-specific tips.
Nozzle Compatibility
Carbon fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.
Based on Bambu Lab and Prusa guidance. More in our carbon fiber filament guide and nozzle types guide.
