• 17% Carbon Fiber Reinforced PET: Engineered for high stiffness and dimensional stability, making it well suited for jigs, fixtures, tooling, rigid prototypes, and functional parts that need to maintain their shape under load.
• Annealed HDT up to 147.5°C: After annealing at 120°C for 10 hours, printed specimens reach an HDT of 147.5°C at 0.45 MPa and 105°C at 1.8 MPa. Actual part performance depends on geometry, load, print settings, and orientation.
• Easier Moisture Management: PET-CF17 is less sensitive to ambient moisture than many nylon-based composites, but it should still be stored sealed and dry. If the filament has been exposed or printing quality declines, dry at 100°C for 10 hours before use.
• Professional Printing Setup: Print at 270–300°C with a 70–80°C build plate and the cooling fan off. A heated chamber is not required, but an all-metal hotend and a hardened, wear-resistant nozzle are recommended for reliable extrusion.
• Important Handling Information: Carbon fiber reinforcement makes the filament rigid. Avoid sharp bends and multiple turns in the feed path. For load-bearing parts, position the main load along the XY plane where possible and tune temperature and speed for consistent layer adhesion.
