• 20% Glass Fiber Reinforced PPS: Fiberon PPS-GF20 combines polyphenylene sulfide with 20 wt% glass fiber for high rigidity, mechanical strength and dimensional stability. Designed for electrical housings, sensor enclosures, brackets, fixtures and industrial functional parts.
• High Heat Performance After Annealing: Printed specimens achieve an HDT of 236.3°C at 0.45 MPa and 125.8°C at 1.8 MPa after annealing at 130°C for 10 hours. Actual part performance varies with load, geometry, print settings and annealing conditions.
• Electrical Insulation and Chemical Resistance: Unlike carbon fiber composites, PPS-GF20 maintains electrically insulating properties, with a typical dielectric strength of 6.05 kV/mm. Its PPS base material is suitable for parts exposed to demanding chemical and industrial environments.
• High-Temperature Printing Requirements: Use an all-metal hotend capable of 310–350°C, an 80–90°C build plate and a wear-resistant nozzle. Keep the cooling fan off. A heated chamber is not required, and speeds up to 250 mm/s may be possible after calibration.
• Drying and Post-Processing: If the filament has absorbed moisture, dry it at 100°C for 10 hours and keep it below 20% relative humidity during storage and printing. Anneal printed parts at 130°C for 10 hours to obtain the stated heat performance. Keep the filament path smooth and direct.
