Printing ANYCUBIC PLA-CF

ANYCUBIC PLA-CF in Purple is PLA filled with chopped carbon fiber, and this listing is a 1kg spool. The fibers make parts stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain PLA, but they are abrasive, so a hardened nozzle is mandatory (see nozzle compatibility below). The ranges below are for PLA-CF, which usually prints a little hotter than plain PLA. PLA-CF is best suited to stiff, matte display pieces, desk and camera accessories, and light-duty brackets that never see heat. Brands and even individual spools vary, so treat these as starting points and run a quick temperature tower to lock in the sweet spot for your printer.

Nozzle Compatibility

Carbon fiber is abrasive and wears brass (and stainless) nozzles out of round, sometimes within a single spool. Use hardened steel or another wear resistant nozzle such as ruby or tungsten carbide. With hardened steel, start about 5 to 10°C hotter than you would with brass.
