Prices for the same filament listings are down 6.7% since April 2026, when our price history begins. In October 2026, 40% of the 8,335 listings we could match month to month got cheaper and 31% got more expensive. ABS has fallen the most (down 10.8%) and TPU the least (down 2.3%).

How the index works
Each month we take every filament listing's last recorded price of the month and compare it with the same listing's month-end price the month before. The month's change is the geometric mean of those price ratios, chained from April 2026 = 100, when our price history begins. Because every comparison is the same spool against itself, the index moves only when prices move, not when listings are added to or dropped from our catalog.
Prices are the listed price at each retailer, before coupons, tax and shipping. Ratios below 0.5x or above 2x are treated as data errors and left out. The PLA line includes PLA+, PLA Pro and High Speed PLA. "All filament" includes every filament material in our catalog, not only the five shown. A month is added once it closes; this page last changed on 2026-11-01.
